We want your day at the Alton Towers Resort to be extra special, so we’ve put together a number of really useful hints and tips to ensure your big day out is a big success.
• A surprising fact that most guests don’t know about the Alton Towers Theme Park is that the rides only close when there are no more people wanting to ride them! So leave the big, thrilling rides until last – these are the most popular and this way you’ll avoid the huge queues!
• If you’re visiting the theme park with your little ones, visit Guest Services and ask about our Parent Queue Share passes!
• Also visit Guest Services to take advantage of our free ID wrist bands for the kiddies, giving you extra peace of mind as you enjoy the theme parks amazing rides and attractions!
• Since your bags and loose articles are not allowed to be taken on the majority of the rides, we recommend that you place all your loose items and valuables into one of our safe and secure lockers.
• If you don’t mind sitting next to someone you don’t already know on one of our thrill rides, why not reap the benefits of our Single Rider queues? These queues are available on a whole host of our adrenalin-pumping rides including, Air, Nemesis, Rita: Queen of Speed, Spinball Whizzer and Oblivion. Further details on this time-saving feature are available at the entrances to each ride. The Single Rider queues are subject to availability.

• Please be aware that some of our rides carry height and girth restrictions which may affect some of our guests. Please see the signage at the entrance to individual rides.
• Purchase a Fastrack ticket and avoid the lengthy queues to a selection of our most popular rides, including Air, Rita: Queen of Speed and The Flume!
