Business of Leisure Event - Monday 27 September - Friday 1 October 2010

The Business of Leisure event includes a series of engaging 45 minute talks in our unique venue, Cloud Cuckoo Land Theatre, in the heart of Alton Towers Resort.

Our interactive presentations complement KS3 & 4 and include a talk centred on the BTEC planning and organising an event curriculum.

11.00am Planning an Event – Explores all aspects of consumer and corporate Events at Alton Towers Resort, from the planning process, creative design concepts, operational considerations to delivery and post event review.

12.00 noon Alton Towers Resort as a Business – Offers students an insight into how Alton Towers Resort operates as a Business. It provides an understanding of the importance of the various different departmental areas of the Resort, the recruitment process, the organisational structure and the importance of market research and promotion in increasing customer satisfaction and delivering key results.

1.30pm Marketing and Promotions at Alton Towers Resort – Explores how Alton Towers Resort markets itself to visitors, including the promotional tools employed. The TH13TEEN rollercoaster and the promotional journey of launching a new ride will be used as a case study.

2.30pm Customer Service – Get an insider’s view on everything we do to keep our customers very, very happy, including the professional training we offer our staff.

All this for just £12.50 per student, which includes one 45 minute presentation, and the rest of the day to experience our fantastical theme park. Why not add on an extra talk for only £1.00 per student?
