Changing Facilities

We’ve got great individual and family changing facilities. Lockers are available to store your valuables. You will require 2x £1 coins and £2 will be refunded when you have finished with your locker.

Be Buoyant

There are limited free buoyancy aids available for you at the poolside. Please do not take large inflatable toys or boats into the pool. We have special inflatable fun sessions for children up to age 6. Just check at the Waterpark reception for the latest opening times.

Safety First

To keep everyone safe, minimum height restrictions of 1.1m apply on selected slides and flumes.

Child/Adult Ratio Policy

0-4 years: 1 adult to 1 child
5-9 years: 1 adult to 2 children
Kids under 10 must be accompanied into the water by a responsible adult (16+).
Any guest unable to fulfil the ratio requirements will not be allowed into the Waterpark.

Parent & Toddler Sessions*

We hold Parent & Toddler sessions Monday-Fridays in term time (all day), and during school holidays (split timed sessions). Bring your toddler along and entry is just £7.00 for both of you. There's also free car parking.

Birthday Parties

For kids, a party at the Alton Towers Resort is like having all your Christmases at once! They can go wild in the Waterpark or on our Extraordinary Golf Course, then refuel back at one of our themed restaurants. Visit the Birthday Parties area for more details.

Waterpark Ratio

The Waterpark operates a strict adult to child regulation to comply with health and safety standards. Please check the table below before making a booking:

1 person over the age of 16 : 1 child (4 years and under)
1 person over the age of sixteen : 2 children (ages 5 - 9 years)

For the purpose of the adult to child ratio, an adult is regarded as a responsible adult over the age of 16.
