On the creepiest dates of Autumn, prepare for spines to be tingled with our seriously scary Halloween event. From themed attractions for all ages to brand-new scare experiences for the bravest of souls, we guarantee a fright for everyone!
Open until 9pm, courageous guests can face their fears with after-dark attractions and rides, including Wicker Man and the all-new Toxicator. For those seeking adult-themed Halloween events, our award-winning scare mazes will push you to your limits. Venture into a returning fan favourite, now more terrifying than ever, or prepare for two all-new scare attractions in 2025. Dare to enter… if you think you can escape!
Families can also enjoy Halloween every day with the return of Amigos in the Afterlife and Trick O’ Treat Town with Haribo & Maoam, where the townsfolk's favourite pastime is trick-or-treating for the town’s visitors. Knock on the doors to collect sweet treats, but beware the spooky surprises and tricks aplenty!

Park opening hours during Scarefest are 10am – 9pm. The full Halloween event experience, including the main rides and Halloween scare attractions, is available until the park closes.
Entry to the park covers theme park entry, access to Scare Zones, live shows, spooky theming, but scare mazes and fastrack require an additional fee. These experiences include Halloween attractions for adults and Halloween events for kids, depending on the attraction.
Alton Towers Resort’s Scarefest is our annual event that transforms the resort into a spooky Halloween theme park, enticing visitors from across the region for spine-tingling thrills. It features scare mazes, themed zones, live shows, Halloween walkabouts, and the chance to ride coasters in the dark. The event caters to all ages, offering family-friendly Halloween events for kids as well as frightening attractions for adults.
The scare depends on the attractions you choose. Family-friendly areas and shows are suitable for young children, while the scary attractions and mazes are more fright-filled, designed for ages 12+ or 15+, featuring live actors and jump scares. Tailor your day to suit your scare level.
Many visitors wear Halloween costumes for Scarefest and we recommend it as it adds to the spooky spirit. Alton Towers Resort allows costumes but generally prohibits full face masks, imitation weapons, or anything unsafe for rides. Costumes should not obstruct your vision or pose a hazard.
