Car Parking
Ensure that you have purchased your car park ticket prior to leaving the theme park. You can purchase your car park ticket at The Resort Box Office (Towers Street) , Ticket Sales & Collections (Entrance Plaza) or online in advance. This must be presented when exiting the Resort.

Standard Parking
Standard Parking is charged at £7 for Theme Park Guests. Upon arrival, please follow the road signage or our team members directions. We have both grass and tarmac car parks, you may be parked on grass.
Gold, Platinum and Premium Merlin Passholders are entitled to free Standard Car Parking. There is no need to pre-book your parking space, simply scan you pass at the exit barriers!
Standard Parking is between 15-25 minutes walk to the Theme Park Entrance.

Express Parking
Express Parking is charged at £19 for Theme Park Guests (MUST be booked in advance online.)
Gold, Platinum and Premium Merlin Passholders are able pre-book Express Parking for £12 (MUST be pre-booked online in advance) CBeebies Land Hotel Guests get free Express Parking. (Hotel booking confirmation must be shown.)
Express Parking is a 1-3 minute walk away from the Theme Park Entrance.

Blue Badge Parking
Blue Badge Parking is charged at £7.
Gold, Platinum and Premium Merlin Passholders and on-site hotel guests are not charged for Blue Badge Parking (Subject to Blue Badge being presented)
A current and valid Blue Badge must be presented, with badge holder present in the vehicle which is requesting disabled parking. Only one vehicle is permitted to park on Blue Badge Parking per blue badge. Spaces on the day will be allocated subject to availability on a first come first serviced basis.

How do I get to the Alton Towers Resort car park?
Road signage and traffic signals will direct you to all of our car parks.
How do I get to the Theme Park from the car park?
You can either walk to the Theme Park entrance, as directed by signage across all car parks. You can also catch the Resort Monorail. This will take you from the Hotels and car parks, to the Entrance Plaza. The monorail runs from park opening, through until an hour after the advertised ride close.
How do I buy my car park ticket?
Standard Parking can be purchased from Ticket Sales and Collections (Cash, Card and Contactless), Self Service Ticket Machines (card and contactless) or The Resort Box Office (Cash, Card and Contactless).
Express Parking must be paid for online, in advance. There are very limited spaces available, and these often sell out in advance.
A valid car park ticket is required to leave the car park, with barrier systems in place.
I can't find my car / My car won't start. What can I do?
Our friendly Admissions Team will be on hand throughout the day to assist you with questions and queries. We will make every effort to assist you in finding your car, and if you remember a description of where you parked, and the time you parked, we will be able to assist you further.
If your car won't start, you may need to get in touch with your insurance company or breakdown cover. Remember: Our car parks are large, so it may be beneficial to leave your hazards on to assist with your breakdown cover finding you.
We operate traffic management throughout the day. Road signage and traffic signals may change to assist with the flow of traffic. Please ensure you are adhering to all road signage, traffic signals, and the instructions of our team.
