Offering a bright and tropical taste of the Caribbean, the sun shines every day in this crazy Caribbean themed hotel!
A sandy, sleepy village until the ground began to grumble. It was the first time Ma Garrita had felt her wooden shack shaking. She scooped her scared children up into her gingham skirt and before she knew it, the village spring whooshed up 100 feet into the air.
The water poured in, turning the village upside down. The sandy soils grew green, the bougainvillea bloomed and the wilting palm trees stood tall. While the children splashed around outside, Ma Garrita and the other villagers sheltered under umbrellas looking through a soggy phonebook and trying to find someone that could help.
When Paradise Plumbers parked their big green truck up, nobody expected they would stay and re-plumb the entire village. They channelled all the gushing spring water into a lagoon and a wonky river running by the village. It was magnificent and so they renamed the whole village, Splash Landings. They’re very proud of their new Paradise Plumber’s Van, you will find it parked up in reception when you arrive - They even have their own fish tank….they’re the only plumbers in the world that bring water with them!
Lots of children came with buckets and spades. Ma Garrita had them over to stay and once they’d told her she served the best calypso breakfast they’d ever tasted and opened her new restaurant, Flambos. She had lots more colourful rooms built and turned her little shack into Mags bar, stocked with plenty of refreshing drinks. Then came the Ice Cream and Smoothie Parlour.
The final touch was a wonderful sign, ‘Splash Landings Hotel’. A Caribbean themed hotel right in the heart of the waterpark with tropical touches and waterpark views. Now each evening as the sun goes down, old friends and new arrivals meet by the lagoon at Ma Garitta’s Bar, a good Calypso and plenty of refreshing drinks. And that’s how Splash Landings came to be.
