Media Access

We consider requests for press tickets and Hotel stays from press currently working for publications, broadcasters and online media that have editorial content that lends itself to coverage of the Resort.

Media Theme Park visits

All press visits must be arranged prior to your visit. To make a request, please contact a member of the Press Team stating:

  • Title
  • Publication
  • Readership numbers
  • Preferred date of visit
  • Number of tickets required
  • Brief overview of how you plan to cover Alton Towers Resort following your visit.

Please send your request a minimum of 3 working days before the date you’d like to visit to allow time for your tickets to be issued. A maximum of 4 tickets will be allocated per request. Successful requests will be confirmed by email along with details of how to collect tickets. You may also be asked to provide current media credential or form of photographic ID. Press tickets are only valid on the day specified and do not include Fastrack or car parking costs.

Filming and photography requests must be agreed in advance through the Press Office.

Influencers and Bloggers

Bloggers, Influencers and YouTubers galore have enjoyed trips to the Resort to help us support our marketing activity.

Celebrity visits

Many celebrity guests have enjoyed days out with us here at the Resort and we can offer a variety of suggestions to help with these visits. For more details please contact the Alton Towers Press team.

Have a short break booked before 25th April? We can move your stay date with no extra cost!

Further to recent updates from the Government on the response to the Covid-19 coronavirus outbreak, we have taken the very difficult decision to close Alton Towers Resort as a precautionary measure.

For guests with short breaks arriving up to and including 25th April 2020, we have relaxed our usual terms and conditions so you can now reschedule your break to another date in the 2020 season with no additional cost*

Please visit the Manage My Booking site and complete the booking amendment form, including your booking reference and the preferred date you would like to rearrange your booking to. Our team will get back to you as soon as possible.

*Subject to availability, please provide 3 alternative dates in order of preference, dates allocated on a first come first served basis. Please note – if you have booked a partner Hotel (a Hotel off site), most will honour the price you booked at, however there are a small number which cannot, we will let you know based on the dates you choose.
